Petros Katsioloudis, Ed.D.

Dr. Petros Katsioloudis is the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Research at Old Dominion University’s Darden College of Education & Professional Studies. He holds an Ed.D. in Technology Education from North Carolina State University (2007), an M.Ed. and B.S. in Technology Education and Industrial Technology, respectively, from California University of Pennsylvania, and an A.S. from the Pennsylvania Gunsmith School. Dr. Katsioloudis has led and contributed to numerous federally funded research projects, including initiatives on engineering education, maritime systems, and environmental monitoring. Notably, he spearheaded the “Engineering Laboratory Instruction in Immersive Virtual Environment (Enliiven)” project, securing over $19 million in funding to advance virtual engineering education.

Beyond academia, Dr. Katsioloudis is an accomplished technical scuba diving instructor with certifications in cave diving and rebreather systems, reflecting his commitment to experiential learning and interdisciplinary research. His diverse expertise bridges technology education, immersive simulation, and environmental science, positioning him as a leader in innovative educational practices and applied research.
