Educators and leaders across Virginia gathered virtually for the bi-weekly Professional Learning Network (PLN) Session, hosted by the Virginia Department of Education and Virtual Virginia. The session featured a presentation by Dr. Gary Skeen, Associate Director of the ODU Center for Educational Innovation and Opportunity, and Kaitlyn McCoy, Program Manager of the Innovation Lab and MEESA Programs. Their discussion focused on innovative initiatives shaping the future of education in Virginia. Attendees explored new ways to enhance student learning through STEM education, hands-on experiences, and workforce-aligned opportunities.
A key topic was Virginia’s College Partnership Lab Schools, which are expanding STEM education and career-connected pathways for students across the state.
