Program Manager - Maritime Engineering & Environmental Studies Academy
Kristen Duprey serves as Program Manager for the STEM Academy at Booker T. Washington Elementary School (SABTW), part of ODU’s Center for Educational Innovation and Opportunity. She brings over a decade of experience leading STEM initiatives across K-16, including work with NASA Langley’s Science Activation team, the Virginia Space Grant Consortium, and the Virginia Air and Space Science Center. A former secondary science teacher, Kristen’s work is rooted in student-centered, equity-driven practice, emphasizing real-world STEM engagement, educator support, and community partnerships. She holds M.Ed. degrees in Educational Leadership and Curriculum & Instruction from George Mason University, a B.A. in Biology, and multiple teaching and administrative endorsements.
